Hi StyleStars! Want to have some fun? I went on a search,  looking back on all the times Kate made me smile. I rummaged for as many of her whimsical handbags as I could find on line.

Before I reveal, can I just say I want this Bixby bag. I love the color, the shape, everything.

Now- look at this fanciful display of designs from her creative mind.

Kate always made us think we should go somewhere. This bag packed and ready to hit the road.

If that bug is too small.. let’s jump into a pink Cadillac. The plates say it all “off we go”.

Pink car off we go

Let’s not forget the camera. Life requires we remember the good times.

So many sights to see and experience. I will tell you all about it.. in a typed written note of course.

Enjoy even the small moments.  The tweet of a bird sounds so sweet.

Eat, drink, celebrate.  I will take the large lobster please.

Fruit for dessert to eat and to go!

Everyone looks beautiful-carrying a colorful bag.

Miss Piggy

Which is why we loved Kate Spade.

I  will miss the fun she put into carrying a purse. I certainly hope those were her best times too.

Blätter-bunt

Hi style star sisters. Im baccck! There’s soo much going on here and worldwide that it’s good to sometimes escape and put the focus elsewhere like your fall clothing transition. Those cool morning breezes and strong winds may be the remnants of the horrific hurricane patterns throughout the country. I think it’s fall telling us to retire our flip flops and cold shoulder tops. Well, put the the flip flops away for next season because there are some great looks to look forward to.

BOMBER JACKETS

This look is not new but it’s has been updated from the military green bomber jacket we’re familiar with. Now ladies we have bold feminine patterns and silky textures. Take a look below at some of the bomber trends.

This is a mid price sexy off the shoulder bomber jacket from BCBG I found on line for over $100. Love the bold pattern.

MSM4J788_U44Of course,  as a style star who loves a good deal, I found many other cute bombers at other stores like JCP for under $50.00.6877020DP0503201700225174M

RED LOVE AFFAIR

Well, style stars, most designers have fallen back in love with the color red. I must admit you have to really commit fully to this color if you plan to wear a full on red assemble like shown below from Fendi. I love the fitted coat and sleek boots.

Fendi show, Runway, Autumn Winter 2017, Milan Fashion Week, Italy - 23 Feb 2017

Another gorgeous I want it right now red explosion from Fendi. 3ffb53cea5f02405e818c500482e9f60--red-fashion-fashion-check

If you are bold enough for head to toe red looks as shown above . This is how you do it. Flawless!

For those of us who do not spend our days trotting down runways in complete red looks, I suggest adding a pop of red with a great bag or shoes.

These two bags are great for work days since they can fit many items.

I love these Steve Madden shoes that are a dead ringer for the pricey Altuzarra shoe. The red stretchy boot from Madden is a great look for pants and dresses.  Looking good does not have to break your budget. Both looks can be found for less than $130.00.

FURS and FEATHERS

Ok I admit, I love the colored faux fur and sherlings many stores are carrying now. Also, feathers and shimmy dresses are in season. I  have a cute shimmy dress I bought 2 years ago for a Halloween party. I wanted to embody Tina Turner. It’s good to know I will be able to wear this again. What do you think? FB_IMG_1506438734503

Here are a few looks for the fall season that will help you spark you inner Tina and glam goddess.

These feathered looks were featured looks for fall.

LineDot_Ostrich_Skirt-1080x632

Above featured ostrich skirt from Line & Dot found at Revolve for $70. This skirt will have you doing a shimmy all night long. This cute purse or bottie can add a flirty sexy vibe to any outfit. The purse is from International Concepts for $25.

So, my style star sisters,  I hope this fall you find your inner glam goddess. Make the looks your own by trying one of the hot looks featured. See you all on the concrete runway!

Your style sister,

Natasha

Blair DeLorge, Faux leather shorts, Hot new designers, Lola&Clarke, New designers, New York Fashion Week, tailored jacket, Tempestt Ware, Virginia State, Vogue

Hey Style Stars! This is a fashion fantasy about two besties who have this dream. Cameras are clicking.. It is New York Fashion Week. Photograhers are yelling over here.. over here… and snap!.. this picture appears in Vogue under the heading “The Newest Hottest Designing Duo”.

Tempestt and Blair
Designers Tempestt and Blair of Lola&Clarke

Meet Tempestt Ware and Blair DeLorge. And although they are not the featured designers at Fashion Week yet, they will be. They have been preparing for their close up for years behind the sewing machine and deep under the books. They met at Virginia State, where Blair got her bachelor degree in Textiles and Apparel. Tempestt changed colleges and got her bachelor’s at Virginia Commonwealth University in Fashion Merchandising.
Then Blair went on to get her MBA and Tempestt is pursuing her MA in Fashion Journalism and Editorial Imagery. I said all that to say they really know what’s up and they got their business thing together.

But Style Stars all that talk unravels like a loose thread on a cheap garment if their designs are not to die for – so are you ready?

DCF 1.0

Bam! Tempestt and Blair have decided to call their fashion line Lola&Clarke. Cool right. Well as Blair tells me the name brings a ying and yang just like them and like the women they design for in creating their line. Take their tailored jacket matched with their faux leather shorts- It is dead fly.

DCF 1.0

You can see their fashion philosophy. The seriousness of the jacket along with the playful femininity of the hot as hell faux leather shorts.

Oh the ideas they have are crazy. Their thing is beautifully crafted clothes at an affordable price. And if there is anything we Style Stars love is getting nice quality pieces on a budget. Blair says there is no one filling that space. Either the nice things are so expensive and the inexpensive pieces so– well you know.

So that is why they are on a mission. They want to raise money- and bring to the world what it has been missing. They are raising cash for the inaugural line and trying to meet a November 17th deadline. Check out their video link below.. And Style Stars soon we will be rocking Lola&Clarke.

Bergdorf Goodman, Brenda Lowery, diana ross, Evan Picone, fashion icons, Lady Sings the Blues, Mahogany, mother's style, style icons, style influence

Diana Ross in Gown from 20130626_165324Hey my Style Star Sisters. You can not help but be influenced just a little by celebrities who dress incredibly whether they’re on the red carpet or running errands in the latest Louboutins and perfectly holey jeans. Quite annoying! Keep in mind that even the most effortless looks are in many cases styled by a well paid stylist.

Thank goodness I have been blessed to have had the best style influence during my young and adult life. My mother Brenda. She was a sophisticated, slingback shoe wearing lady who always shopped on a budget never caring if the name was Evan Picone or if the label was cut out. Who cares. How does it fit and how does it make you feel and move were much more important. Confidence was mom’s best accessory.

I must say our mother’s style had the greatest influence on even how I shop and my own personal style today. I prefer dresses and skirts over jeans any day. And, slingback shoes are still my favorite. I could wear a flea market find and wear it like it was from the racks of Bergdorf Goodman.

If you twisted my arm and made me pick a celebrity who I felt had style reminiscent of my mom’s,  it would have to be Diana Ross in Mahogany and Lady Sings the Blues. Wow, she was impeccable. Beautiful, confident, and effortless. So, I ask you my style sisters, who are your style icons? Let us know.

Your Style sister,
Natasha
